We'll kick off our adventure in the village of Carona after a quick group introduction and a briefing on the day's itinerary.

We'll pass through the village of Pagliari, characterized by its stone houses, a symbol of the close relationship between people and the mountains.

11:00MOUNTAIN HUT

Baitone Valley, Sambuzza: A Hiker's Paradise!

We'll follow the trail through a dense forest of spruce, fir, and larch trees until we reach the Baitone hut in Val Sambuzza.

Val Sambuzza Lake

We'll reach an altitude of approximately 2050 meters, where we'll find the natural lake of Val Sambuzza nestled in a magnificent basin at the foot of Pizzo Zerna. Surrounded by the tranquility and the icy beauty of the lake, we'll relax near the mountain hut for a delightful lunch in the sun.

Back to Carona

The hike concludes with a return to Carona, following the same trail we took on the way up. After lunch and a relaxing break in the sun, we'll descend back to Carona, where our trekking day will end.
