Bivacco ASTASS
Step out of your comfort zone and join us for a new experience! A weekend in the Apennine woods, to try out bushcraft techniques and life in nature with a bushcraft expert, an Environmental Hiking Guide, and new adventure companions. We'll set off towards Bivacco ASTASS through the wild Valle Tribolata which, with its autumn-dressed beech woods and its rocky "bombs" (pillow lava), offers us unique scenery. Once we reach the bivouac, we'll get to work preparing everything needed to cook dinner and keep warm during the night. NOTE: at the bivouac there are no mattresses on the "beds", just wooden boards to sleep on, there's a stove but you'll need to chop wood to heat up and cook, there's no running water, no electricity, no bathroom, and it will be cold. Besides the gear needed for the overnight stay and activities, a great spirit of adaptability, good cold resistance, and teamwork will be needed to set up the fire, cook, and leave the bivouac as we found it.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Giorgia, an environmental hiking guide: raised among trails, and glad I never stopped. I've lived the mountains since I was a child, and since 2019 I've turned that passion into a full-time job. I guide adults and children along the trails of the Apennines, the Alps and around Europe, with a constant appetite for discovering, learning and sharing. I'm never still: I study, read, write, fly a drone, raise butterflies and raise small muddy explorers through Adventure Education projects. And yes, I'm happy: this is the life I dreamed of, and there's nothing in the world I'd rather do "when I grow up". 🦋🥾 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
