Omio Refuge from Bagni di Masino: A panoramic trek through granite landscapes and alpine pastures in the Rhaetian Alps.
Rifugio Omio from Bagni di Masino
Granite, summer pastures and crystal water in the Val Masino.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Bagni di Masino and work up the valley among firs, larches and clear streams, carried by the sound of water and cool mountain air. The climb leads to Alpe Oro, a wide pasture ringed by enormous granite boulders, typical of these mountains: here the view opens suddenly onto the great peaks of the Rhaetian Alps. A little higher stands Rifugio Omio, the objective of the day, in a position that justifies the climb.

Reviews
Uno dei trekking più belli che abbia fatto! Prima parte nel bosco, poi diventa molto panoramico.
