The second full moon of 2026 will illuminate one of the most evocative settings in the Upper Brembana Valley: the Piani dell'Avaro. A simple and fascinating evening trek, designed to experience the mountains in a special atmosphere, amidst sunset, silence, and moonlight. The excursion follows an easy and panoramic circular route, ideal for Guidders who want to approach evening walks without technical difficulties. We will depart in the late afternoon to enjoy the warm colors of the sunset, as the sun dips behind the ridges of the Upper Brembana Valley. HOW TO GET THERE

We'll meet at the Piano dell'Avaro car park at 4:30 PM to begin our loop hike, immediately enjoying the sunset and the colours of the sky.

Panoramic Peak Overlooking the Brembana Valley
Hike a gentle trail to a scenic mountain pass and discover breathtaking panoramic views of the Val Brembana!
18:30WALKING TRAIL
Along the rolling ridgeline.
We'll follow the gentle ups and downs of the ridge that borders the plateau, allowing you to soak in the stunning views and surrounding landscape.
19:30MOUNTAIN HUT
Mountain Huts & Happy Hour
Once we reach the mountain hut, we'll enjoy a delightful shared aperitivo where everyone is welcome to bring something to share, while we wait for the moon to make its grand appearance and rise high in the sky.
20:30PARKING
Back to the Trailhead
After sharing some appetizers, we'll head back towards the parking area. There's also the option to stop for pizza together in the valley below to round off the evening! (This is optional, of course.)
