Vermiglio Loop: a taste-and-tradition trek in Val di Sole

A loop that tastes like alpine huts, forest and real Val di Sole.

We set off with the Guidders from Vermiglio, right at the foot of the Presanella range, for a loop that tells the story of Val di Sole at a slow pace. We climb through the woods towards Fraviano, with one steeper stretch to warm up our legs, until we reach the highest point of the day at 1481 meters. From there the trail opens up: we cross meadows and clearings with views stretching over the Trentino mountains, before descending gently and closing the loop right back where we started.

Vermiglio sits on the border between Trentino and Lombardy, a crossroads of mountain huts and old rural traditions: every bend of the trail tells a piece of this genuine alpine culture.
