Meeting Point and Parking
Parking area and meeting point: once we’ve had a chance to get acquainted, we’ll purchase our tickets and take the lift up to Rifugio Doss dei Cembri, the true starting point of our hike!
09:00MOUNTAIN HUT
Start from base point
You start from Doss dei Cembri Hut with a clear trail at 2300 m. The path immediately climbs on mixed terrain of dirt and rocks. The alpine environment is evident right away, with views opening quickly behind you. A great way to warm up your legs from the very first minutes.
13:00MOUNTAIN HUT
Mantova Hut
At last we reach Mantova Hut, just above 3,500 metres, but our hike isn’t over yet: we still have the summit to conquer!
13:30SUMMIT
Mount Vioz Summit
You reach the highest point of the route: the summit of Monte Vioz at 3,645 metres. A dramatic, awe-inspiring high-altitude setting surrounds you, with a truly wild alpine feel. The views stretch across a full 360°, with ridgelines and glaciers on the horizon. A summit that rewards every step of the climb.
17:00MOUNTAIN HUT
Return to starting point
After descending along the same trail we had taken earlier in the opposite direction, we enjoy a well-deserved moment of rest before heading back down to the valley by cable car.
