The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Monte Pora and climb towards Monte Alto by way of Rifugio Magnolini, suspended between the Valle Camonica and Lake Iseo. The path alternates pasture tracks, faint ridge lines and ups and downs over grass and stone, with the Presolana in view for most of the day. What makes it here is the continuity of the landscape: an outing with a real alpine feel, where the summit arrives inside a wide, living setting, without a dull stretch anywhere.

We leave our cars at the Malga di Sopra car park in the Monte Pora area (Bergamo).

Monte Alto summit
Once you reach the summit of Monte Alto, you'll be rewarded with sweeping, spectacular views across the entire area.
12:30MOUNTAIN HUT
Magnolini Mountain Hut
We arrive at Magnolini Mountain Hut for a delicious lunch together (lunch at the hut is optional).

Return to the cars
We return to the cars after a wonderful day out among the ibex.
