Tramonto sul Monte Gugliemo, la terrazza bresciana
Sunset on Monte Guglielmo
The Brescia terrace, at exactly the right hour.
The experience
Monte Guglielmo is The Mountain for people from Brescia: it sits astride the Val Trompia and Lake Iseo, and the climb is superb in any season. We set off with the Guidders in the afternoon and climb to the Cima Redentore, where the cool of altitude and the view over the lake restore both mind and body. Up there we watch the sunset, and then head back with head torches lit.
5 reasons to come - sunset from the Cima Redentore - Lake Iseo from above, at the best hour - the cool of altitude on summer evenings - the signature mountain of the Brescia area - the return by night, head torches on
Who it suits A steady climb with nothing technical: normal walking fitness is enough.
Recharging up high: come with the Guidders.
