Three Days on the Alpe di Siusi: A Scenic Trek Through the Heart of the Dolomites
Three days on the Alpe di Siusi
Three days between endless pastures and historic huts.
The experience
Day 1. We climb with the Guidders onto the Alpe di Siusi and cross its endless meadows to Rifugio Bolzano, on the Sciliar massif. Day 2. From the Bolzano we carry on to Rifugio Alpe di Tires and the Passo Principe, in ever more dolomitic country, as far as Rifugio Antermoia. Day 3. From the Antermoia we descend by Passo Duron and Campaccio, finishing at Siusi.
All around stand the mountains that made the Dolomites famous: the Sassolungo, the Sassopiatto, the Sella group and the Catinaccio.
5 reasons to come - the Alpe di Siusi, the largest high plateau in the Alps - Rifugio Bolzano on the Sciliar massif - the Catinaccio d'Antermoia and its lake - three historic huts, one for each night - the UNESCO Dolomites seen from inside
