San Pietro al Monte Abbey

A hike with a bit of an ascent but rewarding, with beautiful views and a visit to a UNESCO World Heritage candidate site.

The experience

Starting from Civate, we will ascend into the Valley of Gold, cross a small canyon, and climb to an Abbey with a long history to tell. We will take a break with a splendid view of Lake Annone, enjoying a convivial moment with an outdoor picnic.

We will return to the valley, discovering some stone shelters that served as protection in different eras.

Support will be provided to organize carpooling depending on the origin, and a pick-up point near Lecco station will be organized for those arriving by train (arrive in Lecco by 9 AM).
