Mount Resegone and the Azzoni refuge

The Resegone is the symbolic mountain of Lecco. From the Lombard dialect, the name of this peak means large saw, due to the unmistakable profile formed by 13 peaks, which resemble the teeth of a saw. The highest of these is Punta Cermenati, on whose slopes stands the famous Rifugio Azzoni. In this itinerary, we see the ascent that starts from Brumano, in Val Imagna, the only itinerary that starts from the province of Bergamo.

The Resegone refuge is our midway point on the trek, a perfect place to rest and recharge on our way back.

Azzoni Refuge
Our destination for today: the Luigi Azzoni mountain hut, perched atop Mount Resegone. From here, we'll admire breathtaking panoramic views and the entirety of Lake Como.
