The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Montecampione in the late afternoon, as the sun begins to drop behind the peaks. We walk through alpine pastures, woods and wide panoramic ridges, surrounded by the warm colours of sunset that stain the mountains and catch on the outline of Lake Iseo and the Valle Camonica. Step by step we reach the finest viewpoint in the area, and stop there to watch. Then into the warmth of the hut for dinner, and back down in the dark by head torch.
