From Mandello to the sanctuary above Olcio

A trek in Mandello del Lario, on the Lecco shore of Lake Como, that perfectly combines history, landscape and nature. The Guidders will start from the town center for an initial urban trekking section, perfect for discovering authentic corners, glimpses of the lake and iconic symbols such as the historic Moto Guzzi.

The experience

After this immersion in the village, the route changes pace: we ascend towards the quieter and more rural hamlets, where the real mountain path begins. Between mule tracks, woods and panoramic openings, we gain altitude until we reach the evocative Sanctuary of Santa Maria sopra Olcio, one of the most beautiful panoramic points in the area.

Here time slows down: packed lunch, open view of the lake and that feeling that only certain treks can give. The return completes a perfect loop, with a final stretch along the lake that gently leads back to Mandello.

An ideal experience for those who want to enjoy a complete excursion on Lake Como, without straying too far... but already feeling like you're in the mountains.
