The experience

This trek is designed to work even when the weather does not help, because the mountains give real feelings among clouds and the smell of rain too. We set off with the Guidders from the Alpe di Colonno and follow an easy, flowing gravel track through woods, pastures and panoramic crests above Lake Como. At Rifugio Venini we stop for pizzoccheri, then climb Monte Crocione.
