The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Pra' Pincé and climb the Val Garzelli to Alpe di Campo, a place suspended in time between pasture and deep silence. The path crosses a striking white fir wood, cool and almost mysterious, then reaches Lago Ledù and the Bivacco Petazzi. The last stretch leads to the summit of Pizzo Rabbi, one of the wildest tops above the upper Lario, on the divide between the Val Garzelli and the Valle del Dosso.

HOW TO GET THERE

Our adventure begins at Prà Princee, at the entrance to Val Bodengo (note that there's a €6 toll for the road).

Alpe di Campo - Lake Ledù - Petazzi Hut
"We'll traverse the beautiful Alpe di Campo, at 1652 meters (one of Samolaco's most important and oldest alpine pastures). From there, we'll ascend to the Bocchetta del Cannone (a somewhat challenging couloir), passing by the Aveert ridge which leads us to the shores of Lake Ledu and the Petazzi Bivouac at 2245 meters."

Reaching the Summit
Reaching the summit, we'll definitely deserve a long break to enjoy lunch and soak in the breathtaking views!

We'll head back to the cars along the same trail we came in on.
