The experience

Day 1. We set off with the Guidders from Sant'Antonio and climb the famous Sentiero del 4 Luglio, passing Rifugio Alpini di Campovecchio: flowering basins, suspended crests and horizons that seem never to end. We reach the Bivacco Davide, perched above the Picol glacial tarns like an eagle's nest, and spend the night there.

Day 2. We carry on to the Palone del Torsolazzo and Piz Tri, then descend to Santicolo.
