Mount Guglielmo: Wild Workout with Stunning Views Above Lake Iseo (4,265 Feet)
Mount Guglielmo from Zone
The Guglielmo makes you work.
The experience
This is not the usual stroll: we set off with the Guidders from the village of Zone and take on a long, steady climb, always on well-marked paths and mule tracks that follow the old shepherds' routes. We cross the Bosco degli gnomi, then the line gains height through woods and pasture and the view opens ever wider onto Lake Iseo. At the top, by the Redentore of Monte Guglielmo, your eyes fill up and your legs know all about it.
5 reasons to come - the Redentore statue on the summit of Monte Guglielmo - the view over Lake Iseo throughout the climb - the Bosco degli gnomi along the route - the old shepherds' routes and the grazing life - a climb that genuinely builds fitness
Who it suits A long, steady climb on well-marked paths: good fitness is needed, but nothing technical.
