Mount Farno and Pizzo Formico: Exploring the Heart of the Orobie Alps
Mount Farno and Pizzo Formico
Today we're taking you to the enchanting landscapes of the Orobie Prealps, on an excursion designed for those who love to walk, discover new horizons and take a break in the heart of nature. Our route begins amidst the pastures of Monte Farno, where the scents of the mountains and the song of birds accompany us step by step. The path climbs gently, offering us increasingly wider panoramic views as we gain altitude. First stop: Pizzo Formico, an accessible and rewarding climb, ideal even for less experienced hikers, with a spectacular 360° panorama. We then continue towards the Rifugio Parafulmine – a must-stop for a good coffee, perhaps sitting outdoors, with your gaze lost among the peaks and valleys below. And for lunch? A well-deserved break at the Bivacco Baroncelli, in a peaceful clearing surrounded by wild nature, with a view towards the plains. An accessible, regenerating and authentic excursion – perfect for those who want to disconnect from routine, breathe clean air and experience the mountains at the right pace.
