Monte Carmo and Pian delle Bosse

Un’escursione panoramica e rigenerante nel cuore dell’Appennino Ligure. Il percorso parte dalla frazione di Castagnabanca, sopra Pietra Ligure, e si sviluppa lungo sentieri ben segnati che conducono al Monte Carmo (1389 m), una delle cime più iconiche della zona, al confine tra Liguria e Piemonte. Dopo un tratto iniziale nel bosco, il sentiero si apre su crinali ampi e luminosi, offrendo viste spettacolari sul mar Ligure, la costa savonese e, nelle giornate limpide, persino la Corsica e l’arco alpino. La salita al Monte Carmo è gratificante ma mai eccessivamente impegnativa: la difficoltà complessiva è E (Escursionistico), adatta a camminatori mediamente allenati. Durante il rientro, tappa imperdibile al Rifugio Pian delle Bosse (840 m), dove ci fermeremo per il pranzo: è possibile gustare piatti semplici e genuini della cucina ligure, immersi in un ambiente accogliente e gestito con passione. Questa escursione è l’ideale per chi cerca un’esperienza completa: natura, sport e buon cibo, il tutto incorniciato da un paesaggio che cambia a ogni passo, tra boschi, pascoli e crinali soleggiati.

HOW TO GET THERE

Trail departure
Driving up from Verzi above Loano (SV), we'll reach the car park at Castagnabanca. The road is fully paved except for the last stretch.
11:30SUMMIT
Monte Carmo Summit
After about 4km from the start, we'll reach the summit of Monte Carmo, where we'll enjoy a wonderful view.
13:45MOUNTAIN HUT
Rifugio Pian delle Bosse.
After the summit stage, we'll head along a loop route towards Rifugio Pian delle Bosse for lunch.
15:30RETURN
Return
After lunch we'll head back to the cars in the afternoon
