Laione peak, gateway to the Adamello

The basin of Lago della Vacca (Cow Lake) is surrounded by beautiful granite ridges, the most iconic of which lead to Blumone and Cima Laione. As one of the first stages of the Alta Via (High Route) number 1, this panoramic excursion is of historical importance due to the numerous artifacts belonging to the Great War. It will take us to a height of 2757 meters and to the border between Lombardy and Trentino, passing through evocative landscapes and a military hospital dating back to the War.

The experience

It will take us to a height of 2757 meters and to the border between Lombardy and Trentino, passing through evocative landscapes and a military hospital dating back to the War.

Once we reach the Rifugio Tita Secchi, the trail becomes more distinctive and granite-dominated.

Our destination: Laione Peak! From here, we'll have panoramic views over Lake Vacca, Val Paghera, and Gaver.
