Description
The highest summit in the Val di Susa, visible from the plain.
The Rocciamelone has an unmistakable profile, visible even from the plain, and towers over the town of Susa with a striking height difference packed into a few kilometres: a rare case in Europe. We set off with the Guidders from Rifugio La Riposa and climb the normal route, a line for fit hikers, to the summit: from up there the view covers the whole valley and much of Piedmont.
