WHY THIS HIKE

From the valley of the mills to the artistic mine

We will start from a picturesque valley in the heart of Valsassina, initially following the course of a river that will lead us on the traces of ancient crafts and traditional activities. We will then continue along a botanical path, learning to recognize some of the main plants of the area.

The experience

The path will gently lead us back towards the valley, to an oasis of peace where we can meet some friendly animals to greet.

Here we will stop for a picnic break surrounded by nature, before reaching a historic mine that extends into the heart of the mountain: a guided tour will reveal unexpected secrets kept in the subsoil.

We will conclude our loop with a comfortable return along a low-altitude path.

The itinerary is easy and circular, following hiking trails with some tourist and cycle/pedestrian sections, therefore it is suitable for curious walkers and families with a minimum of walking experience.
