The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Premana and climb into the Val Fraina and on towards the upper Premana valley, through woods, summer pastures and scree, up to Rifugio FALC. The view widens steadily across the Lecco Orobie, and above us stands Pizzo dei Tre Signori. It is a long, physical trek in stern and genuine country, where reaching the hut repays you with a full sense of achievement.

HOW TO GET THERE

Start from Premana
The tour starts in the village of Premana (approx. 760 m). Within just a few minutes, you leave the town behind and enter a more natural mountain setting, following the valley along a gentle uphill trail.
12:30MOUNTAIN HUT
Arrival at Rifugio Falc
After crossing the entire Val Varrone, we reach Rifugio Falc at the foot of Pizzo Tre Signori, beside the enchanting Lago d’Inferno. Optional lunch at the mountain hut.
16:30RETURN
Return to the cars
We return to the cars after crossing one of the wildest and most captivating areas of the Orobie Mountains.
