We set off with the Guidders from the village of Carona and take a well-marked path that drops straight into the woods, among firs and larches. The climb is gradual, with no hard pulls: this is the right day if you want to enjoy the walking without rushing, or if you are just starting out. As we gain height the view opens onto the Val Brembana and the peaks of the Bergamo Orobie, through pastures and small summer farms where you may well meet the animals.
