Snowshoeing to Grevasalvas: Discover Heidi's Village
Grevasalvas, Heidi's village
The alpine hamlet of Grevasalvas was used in the 1970s as a film set for the movie Heidi: a cluster of enchanting little houses, used for centuries as a summer pasture and dominated by the peak of Piz Lagrev. With a simple snowshoe hike, we will follow a beautiful loop itinerary, visiting the village and continuing the excursion to reach the summit of Muotta Radonda, a superb panoramic point over the surrounding peaks, the great Lake Sils and the high peaks of the border Alps in the background. During the return, we will follow a fun descent, which will lead us to cross other groups of huts, until we return to Plaun da Lej. The fee includes: accompaniment with a Professional Guide, planning and management of the excursion, training on correct progression with the use of snowshoes and poles, notes on flora, fauna and geology of the surrounding environment, demonstration of the use of avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, insurance, satellite messaging in case of emergency. The fee does not include: packed lunches or lunches in a mountain hut (in the latter case the cost of the guide's lunch must be divided among the participants), equipment rental, expenses for any shared transport, anything not included in the "the fee includes" section.
