WHY THIS HIKE

Monte Capra ridge & foliage

A dark, rugged ridge rising from green pine forests and autumn colors: welcome to Monte Capra.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We start among oaks, chestnuts and beeches, then the trail opens onto bare, rocky ground where rare plants thrive on soil rich in metals, a small biodiversity treasure, protected as a SIC site.

From the top, the view sweeps across Sant'Agostino, Monte Tre Abati, Gavi, Tre Sorelle, Armelio, all the way to Val Nure and Val Trebbia, the valley local legend says Hemingway once called "the most beautiful in the world." We'll conquer one of the finest ridges in the Piacenza Apennines, with foliage lighting up every step.

On the way back, those who want can stop for a snack at a local farmers' agriturismo.

Why travel with us: - One of the Apennines' most scenic ridges - Autumn at its best: golden woods and warm light - A rare, protected natural area - A sweet ending with a farm snack stop

Join the Guidders and discover this valley with us: this is how autumn feels with Guiddy.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Matteo, an environmental hiking guide, raised among the fields, villages, vineyards and trails of the Emilian Apennines. Over the years I've travelled a lot, for work and for pleasure, but I've never stopped feeling deeply tied to my own country: the Val Trebbia. Today I take people out to discover these places through slow, genuine experiences, made of footsteps, silences, stories and encounters that leave something behind. I love showing the details that make a place singular, which is why every outing is designed as a complete experience: there's often a tasting, a visit or a special meeting, so we really live what we've crossed instead of merely looking at it. If you love walking with curiosity and finding genuine places with the Guidders, we understand each other. 🥾🌿 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
