Spitzhorli Loop from Simplon Pass
The Spitzhorli loop from Simplon Pass
A Swiss Hike Among Alpine Meadows, Glaciers, and Tongue-Twisting Names
The experience
A classic winter ascent that transforms into a hidden gem in summer: the summit of Magehorn (approx. 2620 m), near the Simplon Pass, is a truly authentic Swiss experience. Expect lush green meadows, sweeping glacial panoramas, and a powerful silence broken only by the whistles of marmots.
We'll hike along an easy trail that's never too steep, our gaze constantly drawn to the most spectacular peaks of the Valais Alps: from Monte Leone to the Dom, to the more famous Matterhorn, and the lesser-known but exquisitely elegant Bietschhorn and Fletschhorn (just pronouncing their names makes you feel like you're at altitude!).
A hike beyond borders, but within the heart of the Guidders community, for those seeking picture-postcard landscapes at a relaxed pace with a backpack full of enthusiasm.
