WHY THIS HIKE

Campliccioli: loop of two lakes

Two lakes, one loop, a forest lit up in autumn red and gold.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Lake Antrona, in Val Antrona, following the lakeside trail as it climbs gently through fall colors. The route is a loop: we rise steadily toward 1370 m, staying long on a scenic ridge among golden woods, then reach Lake Campliccioli and walk its full perimeter before heading back down to the starting point. Along the way we pass close to the dam's guardians' house, a curious technical outpost overlooking the water.

On the north side of Lake Antrona, the trail runs right behind the Sajont waterfall, thanks to a recently maintained walkway with metal railings: a passage that's worth the trip on its own.

5 reasons to join - two alpine lakes in a single hike - the walk behind Sajont waterfall - the autumn forest bursting with color - a real loop, never boring - Val Antrona views around every bend

Who it's for An easy-to-moderate hike suited to anyone with basic fitness: no technical sections, just good legs and a love for autumn colors.

Book with Guiddy and come explore this loop with the Guidders: we're waiting for you!

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Dario, an environmental hiking guide and a beekeeper. 🐝 The mountains are my home: between trekking, trail running and mountaineering I'm out looking for new adventures to live and share every day. I love exploring trails, finding hidden corners and watching nature with curiosity, respect and passion — things that beekeeping taught me to look at very close up. Taking people out is what excites me most: seeing the astonishment in someone's eyes when they reach a summit, cross a wood or discover something new makes every outing special. My goal? To give you real experiences, where the journey counts as much as the destination, always with a smile and in good company. 🌲 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
