The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Ardenno on a short but firm climb, through silent woods and views that take your breath: ahead open the peaks of the Val Masino and the unmistakable profile of Monte Disgrazia. At Alpe Granda the family who run the hut welcome us, and there you eat honest food made with the valley's own produce. One of those images — and one of those meals — that stay with you.
