The experience

We set off with the Guidders and climb the Alben basin, one of the most striking areas of the Bergamo Orobie, crossing wild alpine country between pasture and rock. The climb opens ever-wider views over the Val Seriana and the surrounding peaks, up to the final crest: rocky, easy but genuinely enjoyable, leading straight to Cima dell'Alben. From the summit we drop to the hut and the Passo della Forca, closing the circuit.

HOW TO GET THERE

Departure
We'll start from the Crocetta Pass and immediately hit the trail leading us to the summit of Mount Alben, traversing its beautiful limestone ridge via the Ilaria couloir.
11:30MOUNTAIN HUT
From Summit to Shelter
From the summit, we'll admire the stunning Seriana Valley before descending towards the Monte Alben Refuge.
14:00PASS
Forca Pass
From the refuge, we continue our loop trek to Passo della Forca.
15:30RETURN
End of the Hike
Having crossed Forca Pass, we'll rejoin our original trail for the final stretch back to the cars.
