Sunrise at Corna Trentapassi
Corna Tretapassi at dawn
We leave while the sky is still full of stars.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the village of Zone, in the Brescia area, while it is still night, and climb into the woods with nothing but the sound of our own steps. We pass Forcellino Zuf and reach the top of Corna Trentapassi in time for sunrise: from up there Lake Iseo stretches out below and the light comes slowly, first onto the summits and then onto the water. It is the moment the mountains wake up, and we stand there in silence.
5 reasons to come - sunrise from the summit of Corna Trentapassi - Lake Iseo catching the first light - walking through the woods in the dark, before the world wakes - Forcellino Zuf along the climb - getting back with the whole day still ahead
Who it suits A steady woodland climb: normal walking fitness and the will to get up very early.
Some alarms are worth every minute: come and find out with the Guidders.
