The experience

Monte Pizzocolo is known as the balcony of Lake Garda: its pointed shape and rocky north face make it unmistakable, but what wins you over is the view opening as you climb, until it takes in the lake from north to south. We walk with the Guidders among dairies and silent beech woods, and just below the summit we come to the Bivacco Due Aceri and the little chapel: the marks of a mountain walked forever.
